Each quarter we organize a series of three talks, reading sessions, or workshops. Our guest speakers include artists, professors, researchers, and students working on comics.

"Bit by Bit"
January 24th, 12pm PDT, Pigott Hall, Room 252

We are very excited to announce the first event of the Winter quarter of Comics: More than Words, supported by the DLCL department and kindly sponsored by the English and Art History Departments.
For the first event in our Computer Science Edition, we will be hosting Ecy King, an undergraduate student in Symbolic Systems and Masters student in Computer Science, who will be presenting her comic Bit by Bit. In this talk, Ecy King will introduce us to her comic and its characters, discuss its reading format, and tell us a little bit about her creative process and what inspired her to produce this educational comic for Stanford's CS 106A and CS 106B courses.
Ecy King is a senior at Stanford University studying Symbolic Systems with a concentration in Human-Centered AI. At Stanford, Ecy enjoys being a class president, section leading CS with the 198 program, writing for the Stanford Daily, and spending time with friends. Ecy is also interested in studying gamification in education.
